Economics of Education

Description

As a subfield of applied microeconomics, economics of education studies causal effects of education on individual and societal welfare. Analyses focus on exploring the causal relationship between education, productivity, and income in different institutional settings, as well as the effects of education interventions on key variables of the education production function(s) using field experimental methods. Another focus is on behavioral economics research on the malleability of preferences and other key parameters through educational interventions.
