Description
In line with the approach used in major competency studies, such as PISA, the WIKO BW project tests the economic competencies of students in Baden-Württemberg. In addition, attitudes toward economic issues are recorded and linked to the competencies. The study takes place at general education schools. The background to this is the introduction of the new subject of economics / career and study orientation in Baden-Württemberg for the 2017/18 school year. The project has two distinct phases:
- Phase 1: Competence measurement in grades 9, 10 and 11 (2016)
- Phase 2: Long-term survey in grades 7 to 10 (2017 to 2021)
- Phase 3: Attitude measurement in grade 12 (2021 and 2022)
