80-Year-Old Review Helps Paddington Bear Beat Orson Welles’ Classic Citizen Kane

The 1941 classic Citizen Kane, often considered “the greatest movie ever made” by cinema enthusiasts, lost its perfect 100% score on the popular movie platform Rotten Tomatoes earlier this month after an 80-year-old dissenting review resurfaced and lowered the score to 99%. This led the online community to notice that Paddington 2, the 2017 family movie about a London bear, still has a 100% score. Jokingly, Paddington 2 was exclaimed to now have replaced Citizen Kane as the greatest movie of all time, albeit still only placing number 59 on Rotten Tomatoes’ own “Top 100 Movies of All Time” list.
