Situated in a green environment, within a stone's throw of the old Roman city, Lincoln Castle, Lincoln Cathedral, and the city centre, Bishop Grosseteste University is a top choice for students who take a holistic approach to studying. Like Landau Campus, the university has its roots in a teacher training college, and education is still a core area of research and teaching. A small university of just over 2,000 students, with a modest number of international students, BGU offers a friendly and caring atmosphere and provides excellent opportunities to get immersed in the English language. Undergraduate courses at BGU include English, English Literature, TESOL and Linguistics, and Drama; two of the university's postgraduate courses lead to an MA in English Literature and to an MA in Education with TESOL.
